Question Siemens Schuckert D1 Camo Colors

Dan-San,
Have you revised your thinking on the color scheme for SSW.D.I 3761/16?
The 3 view and color information you sent me last year indicates Pea Green, Rust Brown, and Baby Blue.

In the "SSWD Factory Photo" thread you mention in post #60:

4. SSW D.Ia 3761 and 3768/16, one piece upper wing, revised fuselage, re-designed tailskid. Two color camouflage Dark green and light green, sky blue undersides.

I am also intrigued by the mauve/green camo you mentioned in that post for Jasta 25 SSWD1b's and Mesopotamia.

Any more light that you can shed here is greatly appreciated. I'm in the process now of covering my 1/4 scale SSWD1, and hope to start painting in a few weeks.

Thanks!

My Gallery
SSW D.I aircraft.

LuckyDog:
I was incorrect on Jasta 25 being equipped with the SSW.D.I. I can not find any unit being equipped with SSW.D.I. They were parceled out in ones and twos for evaluation. They were too late for front line use.
Most aircraft orders issued before April 1917, would have had planned three color top camouflage schemes. The Aircraft manufacturers dicontinued the use of red-browns in their camouflages and used the light green and dark green. Orders issued after the telegram date of 12 April 1917 most likely used, light green, dark green and lilac or mauve. (They are not purple.).
blue skies,
Dan-San
