Spurious camouflage scheme?

I was poking through my old stuff and came across Kenneth Munson's "Bombers 1914-19'. In it, he illustrates an Alb BII and Hansa-Brandenburg CI in decidedly weird schemes of straight brushstrokes over clear fabric. These are on the wings and horizontal stabilizer, green and brown for the Alb and green only for the H-B. The strokes appear to be maybe 6" wide by 2' long, and are applied roughly chordwise. I'm assuming Munson (at least) is serious about these, because he even includes his working sketch of the Alb scheme in the back of the book. I've never seen any reference to this stuff anywhere else, and would appreciate if anyone could share any knowledge on the matter.

Thanks- Ed

Odd camouflage?

edvalerio:
I am at present doing a study of the Alb.B.I and the Alb.B.II. Alb.B.II 534/16 is a valid number, it was built by Mercur Flugzeugbau GmbH,Berlin. I don't doubt that Kenneth Munson had reference data for these schemes. It was probably a camouflage scheme experimented with. I have not seen a photograph of this machine in the sources I am using in my study.
Blue skies,
