Item 1. Five Color Day Upper, Very Dark
A. Dark blue 20F5
B. Dark Purple 16E5
C. Blackish blue 20G6
D. Dull green 30E5
E. Leather Brown 6E6
This is the first one using colors sampled directly from my scans of the plates. I suspect that they may run a little dark but if the hues are right, that's easily corrected.

Printed polygon patterns.
Patrick:
I have checked the lower five color printed pattern colors and seem to be very close to right on. I'll check all these others you have done and see how they check out. The like the color/data presentation. It covers it all. we shall use it as the standard fiormat.

Good! If you get the chance, post the four-color Methuen codes so I can get started on them. Items 1 & 4 may run a little too dark overall; I'm curious to see how close they are to what you intended.

Dan, any progress on checking the samples I posted earlier? Can also get started on four color schemes if you will post Methuen codes.
Also have not yet received your five- & four-color pattern drawings -- would very much like to create templates for future samples from them.

From the Fk. D.VIII Upper Wing Thread
Item 5.
The top 4 color day pattern colors are:
Lozenge 1, Dull violet, 19D4.
Lozenge 2, Greyish blue, 23F7
Lozenge 3, Brown, 6E4
Lozenge 4, Olive, 3E4
Item 6.
The 4 color day bottom colors are:
Lozenge 1, Greyish blue 23D5
Lozenge 2, Stone grey 3E2
Lozenge 3, Dark blonde 5D4
Lozenge 4, Greyish red 11D4
Am unable to provide fabric swatches -- my template is taken from the small illustration provided in Windsocks & I'm not satisfied that it's accurate enough to show.

"The four stains used on the Fok.E.V wing. While we don't have the original stains that Fokker used, However we have the names of the colors which are:
True green (vivid green) 27A8
Mocha (dark brown) 5F7
Azin violet 17A8
Azure (blue) 23A7.... Dan-San"
Patrick
Thanks for all your hard work and inspiration.
Now... what are the chances of getting rgb or LAB numbers on the wing stains??
Regards,
Allan

Dan-San,
I'm working on your 5-color recommendations, and including the Fokker D8 stains in the Metheun codes that you mentioned. This time I'm using a gray background instead of the normal white background. The gray is much the same color as the gray sample card that comes with the book.

Colors of the 5 color printed fabric.
Jan:
I will get back to you on the very dark pattern colors. Compare the 5 color dark upper and lower of Alan Toelle's colors.
