Four and five color patterns.
Jan:
I would appreciate it if you would put your colors on the four or five color pattern. If you don't have the patterns, give me your mailing address and I'll send them to you.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
P.S. Patrick, did you receive the patterns I mailed to you? If not give me your mailing address, and I'll send them right away. DSA

Dan, have not yet received any mail from you; no patterns. I really would like these -- especially the four-color -- so I can do accurate fabric swatch sample for posting. Will send you my mailing address.
Sorry for the late reply, just back from some travels.

Printed fabric color data sheets.
Jan and Patrick:
Gentlemen I am reviewing all my data on printed fabric and up dating it and reformating its presentation. It will include, the correct 4 & 5 color patterns, color plates presenting 4 color day upper and lower colors, 5 color day lower, day intermediate and dark. Also 5 color night colors. Also the Naval 3 color hexagon pattern and color. It will be a few days and it will be on the way to both of you. It will be a complete package.
For the modelers ,I am sending a set to Roden.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Dan-San,
I'm going to have a rare opportunity to inspect Robert Kasprzak's original lozenge fabric from a Hannover aircraft in a few weeks. I'll have my color books and a microscope and it should be fun. I think this is the same fabric that Alan Toelle inspected.
(PLease send the color patterns!)

Color patterns.
Jan:
I have finished the 4 and 5 color data sheets in the new format. Tomorrow, I'll start on the Naval 3 color hex. That will rattle a few cages. It should be in the mail no later than Friday. I would appreciate Jan, if you will post all the data sheets on the this thread.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Hello, All.
I'm curious about the painted night polygons. I would be appreciative if someone could list the polygon colors in the attached photo and perhaps provide color "chips".
Thank you for any help.

Color Chips
JFM: Providing color chips is one of many, in my job jar, for things to do. I have 4" diameter substrates that I can use to be spray painted, but I'm lacking the time right now. I don't have the colors mixed too, but this will be forthcoming. That's a nice picture above.

For starters, look at post #52 in this thread -- Both Jan and I did a sample of night pattern colors & the results are posted beginning with #52 & forward. I don't recall if I got around to producing a chip card for that pattern but if you need detailed color info right now, post again & I'll develop one. I'm in-process of creating some Web pages that will contain much more color info & will get these posted after I receive some additional materials from Dan San Abbott.
Also, the exact plane in the photo you posted is described & (I think, IIRC) profiled in the Windsock Datafile Special titled Gotha! -- you might want to get a copy of it.

Thanks for replying, guys.
Yes, I have seen and enjoyed the information earlier in this thread concerning the night 5-color printed lozenge. I do have Gotha! and it does describe various painted poygon camos, but not for that specific G.V, identified as "901/16?". The illustration on the rear cover approximates "901/16?'s" painted polygons, but I don't know if the colors used are accurate.
On page 58: "...a significant range in colours was employed, dark shades of mauve, green, blue, grey, and brown were used and there are recurrent reports of black...careful examination suggests [the black] is a super dark shade of green (29F2/FS14077?) because even the darkest colour in the pattern permits reading the black serial painted over it..." I'm looking for a little more detail and visual examples regarding those colors.
Any info posted is appreciate but please don't make an effort at the expense of current projects. Just whenever you guys are able.
Many thanks. (Also, looking forward to those web pages.)
