Question Rudder Color on Robert von Greims Dr1

To the best of my knowledge only one picture of von Greims Dr1 521/17 is available? This pic appears in Imries Triplane book, The data File Special, and the Osprey Dr1 Aces book, page 87. My question is reference the color of the rudder. In the Osprey book the rudder is described as remaining white. To me it looks the same shade as the rest of the rear fuselage. The cross on the fuselage side has a white border( Obviously Lighter), and the rudder of the aircraft in the background looks lighter. Any chance the rudder was silver, or am I seeing shade differences that do not exist? TIA,
RAGIII

My Gallery
Ltn.von Greim's fok.DR.I 521/17 rudder?

RAGIII:
The prevailing wisdom is the rudder is white. The engine hood and two red bands aft of the cockpit. The aft fuselage is aluminum.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Dan, thanks for the input! Sometimes I think I am grey color blind due to my ineffectual interpretations of tonal differences
