Achim Engels view on Fok.F.I 102/17.

Gentlemen:
Achim thinks Fok.F.I has red rear fuselage aft of the white cross field upper surface od the tailplane, rudder, cowling all struts and wheel covers. This is based on the account by Arthur Gould Lee in an engagement on 28 August1917, and the Ltn.Kurt Wolff crash photograph. Have fun.
blue skies,

Thats interesting. I will see what I can find on Arthur Gould Lee. I don't know, looking at the wreckage photo of 102/17 it sure looks like olive streaks on the top of the tail plane. Also the darker tones aft of the crossfields look like a re-loaded olive dope to me.

Hmmmm
