Real colours of rubber wheels ?

Simple questions, whats is the real colours of rubber wheels, in this Fokker DR 1? (matt black? grey? ???)

There have been threads in this subject in the forum before, but a short answer is that tires, specially german ones, were natural rubber with no carbon added, so light grey is a good color.
