I know about the rarity of the Pup kit. - Maybe Eduard could stop releasing DVII's to re-engineer the Pup - here's hoping.
As for the Blue, it would certainly have been the same as the roundel so as long as it matches, all is rosey!!

I have the RAAF museum calendar from 1998?? And it has a full colour print of this aircraft from the painting commissioned by the RAAF - I'll dig it up and scan the detail for you.

I make no claims to be particularly knowledgeable about this subject, but I thought I'd pass along two images from Charles Schaedel's Men and Machines of the Australian Fying Corps 1914-19 that may be of interest.

The photo is of Camel C127, and gives a good view of size and shape of the emu emblem. The drawing is of Pup B1764, and shows the kangaroo emblem on a black backgound. I don't know what source was used for the profile.

Pup update

Hi again Brad,
I lied about the calendar, the pic I was refering to is in the book "Canvas to Carbon Fibre" and the artist is Norman Clifford. The painting is one of 20 in the Harry Hawker collection.
Note the cookaburra motif on the rear aircraft!
The book states that these aircraft were 6SQN AFC, but the A6249 is listed in Keith Isaac's book as 5 SQN and there is no listing of B2509 anywhere. It does list B5709 so that could be your correct serial number. I am at a loss as to where Norman got his B7519.
