Alb D.III fuselage crosses

Lookinng at photos of Albatros D.III's, the fuselage crosses can be either just before the tail, or mid way between the cockpit and the tail. Did the location change at a certain time? If so, about when was it?

On the Albatros D,III types;
1.Fuselage cross near the tail was a hallmark of the Johannistahl works the parent factory of Albatros.

2. The cross located at mid-fuselage was a hallmark of the Schneidemuhl works subsidiary factory of Albatros called East Albatros works or OAW.

Dan_San,

Thank you for the information. Are these measurements from the center of the cross?
