Werner Voss

Here I continue with the color profiles and this one is the fighter flown by Werner Voss. The color profile is made in regard to the research of Terry Phillips and material is published in magazine. Some detail I have changed and this is the color of the top fuselage panel. On image the color is identical to the cowling color and if the color is yellow in this way this area is also yellow. This is my decision and if this is not correct it is my personal fault. Shawl painted on the Voss is just fashion detail- I don't know is he use it n this free position and is this of yellow color.

And final word- I really enjoy during the painting of this profile in Photoshop.... more will come

Srecko- There were no datum lines on either side of the F.I Triplanes and the F.Is had two data plates on the cowl like earlier Fokker M series Eindeckers and Doppeldeckers. The yellow removeable upper panel(s) is an interesting thought.

Thank you Taz for your comment Unfortunately I can not see the second plate on the one of the first three prototypes and not on this particular plane flown by Voss. All I see is that on the fuselage behind this plate is paint damaged by leaks. Glad that you like detail about the extended yellow on fuselage panel. Maybe the whole top metal is yellow but this can not be proven. This area is under the shadow and also there is maintenance area. Many dirt from machine guns grease, hand prints, dust... oil, gun smoke traces maybe over... impossible to determinate option for yellow. So let it as it is. About the datum line on starboard side... I did not note in the moment..

New color profile is the Fokker Dr.I fighter flown by Rudolf Stark. I am not sure but on the side of fuselage, behind the engine cowling have to be placed rounded access panel.

Now I understand!!! Does it mean that on the Voss plane this plate was removed ??? On this place as I said only paint damage from the oil or petrol leaks from engine...
