Avro 504Ns in WW2
I know this isn't technically a question about WW1, but it's a question about WW2 use of a version of a famous WW1 aircraft.
There were seven Avro 504Ns impressed into RAF service during WW2, and used as glider tugs and in radar calibration trials by the Special Duties Flight:
AX854 (ex G-ACZC)
AX871 (ex G-ADBM)
AX874 (ex G-ADBP)
AX875 (ex G-ADET)
BK892 (ex G-ADEV)
BV208 (ex G-AEMP)
BV209 (ex G-ACPV)
- from Bruce Robertson's British Military Aircraft Serials 1911-1979.
Has anyone seen a photo of any of these aircraft taken during WW2, or have any idea what colors and markings they may have worn?
