Aviatik-Berg C.I hex camo?
Hello, this is my first post to the forum. I am a free flight modeler and am looking for any info on camo for the Aviatik Berg C.I.
I am designing covering for a friend who wants hex camo. I'm not sure if it was used for the C.I as I have very little documentation on this plane. Was the camo for the C.I similar to the Aviatik D.I? Thanks in advance for any info you guys can help me with! -Wayne |

Peter Grosz's, et al, book has a couple photos of two Lohner-built examples sporting the hex fabric - 214.03 and 214.11. There is also a color profile of 214.07 in the hex fabric - though no supporting photo that I can find.
The photos of the Aviatik-built examples all seem to have been finished in either CDL or a stipple camouflage. Cheers, |
