Jasta 4 red and white.

Ladies and gentlemen:
we have been kicking around Jasta 4 unit color now for several weeks. Recently I posted a thread asking if anyone had any combat reports of RAF Squadrons that had engaged Jasta 4 and Jasta 4was positively identified. well Alex Revell responded and suggested Russ Gannon. Well Russ came through and confirmed the colors. quote:
18 July 1918.
2. As I have it Meyer could nothave downed Yeates of 73 Squadron on 18 Jul-he got lost on 14 Juldelivering a Camel- pow. I have Meyers claim pencilled against 107 Squadron, one to Maushake, the Meyer 'sopwith' claim (sic) and the last to Ltn.Brung of Jasta 50.
3. Interestingly Lt Graham of 73 Squadron crashed a Fokker D.VII with 'red & white stripes' at 1500 near Oulchy-le-Chateau on this date-a crash landing by Udet perhaps?
This was not Du doch nicht!!, it had been shot down 29 June 1918. But on of the other Jasta 4 D.VII with the red and white stripes along the fuselage.
Jasta 4 was red and white!.
Yes, I know, this will start round 2.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Interesting!

Gentlemen:
No comments, I thought I would come back to countering comments. I guess everyone has accepted that Jasta 4 used red and white. Well, I guess that problem has been resolved. On to the next windmill.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Dear Dan-San,

It's good to have you back.

You will hear not a complaint from me, 'cuz I like Red & White!
It goes nicely with the Flugzeugstoff!

Very Best Regards, FOKKERJ
