Thanks Dan San!
Although you and I may know that my lozenge is not lined up to the factory specs I'm sure that 99% of the people who view the model will never know!

Revised data.

StephenLawson:
Previously I had identified "Mimmi" from the production batch of D.450/18 to 499/18, In a further study of Fokker built D.VII aircraft, I was able to refine the production batch that "Mimmi" was from to D.500/18 to D.526/18.

Excellent! Sachsenberg's D.VII was probably from the same batch? Remember it has the 200hp D.IIIav.

Mercedes D.IIIav??

StephenLawson:
I agree, Oblt s.See Sachsenberg's Fok.D.VII with the yellow and black diamonds design, was from production batch, D.500/18 to 526/18. I was wondering what are you basing your information on that Sachsenberg's Fok.D.VII had an Mercedes D.IIIav engine? According to Dave Watts, very few D.IIIav engines were delivered by the end of the war. The late production Mercedes D.IIIaü also had the opposed two air pump according to Dave Watts. This machine was delivered before August 1918. It is in the background in a photo of Fok.E.V machines delivered in August 1918.

". . .From the engine center-line of the Mercedes D.IIIav to the center of the exhaust ports is 540 mm. THe BMW IIIa is 542mm that is slightly over a 1/16 ". The overall height from the centerline to the top of the cam gear housing of a Mercedes D.IIIav is 670 mm, the BMW IIIa is 687 mm. 17 mm=.68 inches, just a bit under 11/16". Fok.D.VIIF has different cowling panels, with saxaphone style exhaust manifold installed above the upper longeron.
I believe this is an early Fok.D.VII with a Mercedes D.IIIav engine.
Blue skies, Dan"
