Goering's Fokker DVII

Hi, Everyone,

Without wanting to reopen the discussion on whether or not to build a model of this aircraft, I have a technical question about its overall finish.

If, as I understand, the aircraft was finished all-white at the Fokker factory prior to delivery, would the airframe have been covered in clear linen (assuming, of course, that the CL was still available) rather than lozenge? I'm thinking that it would be easier to get a better white finish on this type of fabric rather than trying to paint over a dark lozenge fabric. Also, of course, the cockpit interior would show CL on the fuselage sides, and maybe just behind the seat.

Thanks for any information!

For my part I say it was covered in lozenge then painted. All lozenge covered areas of Schwerin Fokker D.VII and E.V / D.VIII rudders and fins were overpainted white.
