My Gallery
Fok.D.VII from Jasta 18.

Frederic:
When Jasta 18 was transferred from the German 6.Armee on 13 June 1918 to the German 19.Armee, Jasta 18 turned in their Fok.D./VII aircraft to Armee Flugpark 6. AFP 6, reissued those Fok.D.VII machines to Jasta 43. All the machines had forward half of the fuselage vermillion, with the radiator shell and under cowl and rear fuselage white. The upper surface of both wings were were also vermilion. Jasta 43 worked around these colors. After studying the photograph of Ltn. Jakobs Albatros built Fok.D.VII, it is my opinion that, he extended the vermilion to the leading edge of the white tailplane, fin and rudder, Ltn. Jakobs had two white bands each side of the man in the half moon symbol. The wings were covered with 5 color printed fabric with salmon pink rib tapes.
Hope this helps.
Blue skies,
Dan-San
