Fokker D VII color reference

Forgive me if this information is already posted somewhere on the site, new member here. I'm looking for reference material on the various color schemes for the Fokker D VII. Close to completing a 1/3 scale version, and looking for a color scheme.

Thanks for the help.

You also might want to check out Squadron/Signal aircraft in Action volume 166: Fokker DVII.

There are eleven colour profiles on its centre pages, plus 3 colour pics on the front and back covers. The eleven centre page profiles have a good historical spread of schemes, from an early streaked paint factory job with older crosses, through lozenge paint jobs with the later crosses and on to Polish post war schemes from the 1920s, with a few German ace paint jobs in there as well.

An interesting paint scheme that is relatively easy to do is on the cover of that book too, that being a DVII briefly flown by Lothar Von Richthofen, which has a yellow cowling, lozenge fabric wings, streaked paint on the fuselage and a black and white chequerboard horizontal tailplane. That's the scheme I'll be painting my electric RC Fokker DVII when it is completed, as it seems to be fairly rare on DVII models from what I've seen, but is a nice paint job that is neither too ostentatious, nor boring.

My Gallery
A borrowed D.VII

Chock:
The checkerboard tailed D.VII also had a monogrm AH on the right upper wing in yellow. This machine was the personal machine of Ltn. Aloys Heldmann.
Aparently LvR borrwed it from Ltn. Heldmann.
Blue skies Chock,

Yup, one or two people erroneously report it as LVRs plane, but of course it wasn't for long. Nice paint scheme though, one of my favourites for sure. I seem to recall someone on this forum was considering that for their full sized replica too, which would be nice to see.
