Question on Loerzer's D.VII - Jasta 26

I have a quick question on the Fokker D.VII flown by Oblt. Bruno Loerzer CO of Jasta 26. His aircraft was painted overall with black and white stripes except the underside of the top wing and upper lower wing remained lozenge. There is a great profile of this plane in Windsock's Fokker D.VII Anthology vol. 2. The only thing that is not shown clearly is the color of the axle wing. This has black wheel covers and white struts but I'm wondering if the wing should be all black, or black & white stripes to match the lower wing stripes or black & white to match the fuselage stripes? also would both top and bottom of this wing be painted the same? not sure since there is no photo to show this area of the plane.
Thanks
Dave

My Gallery
Loerzer's D.VII

Hi Dave:
Because the Fok.DR.I and a Fok.D.VIIF in the D.4300/16 range Oblt .Loezer flew, had black axle wings, I have the axle wing on his presumably first Fok.D.VII with a black axle wing.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Thanks Dan San. Black looks good to me! easier to paint with less masking required.
