Hansa Brandenberg C.I Colour Schemes

Hi All, Any suggestions? I fancy getting away for my next build of the natural linen varnish wood look. This is going to be 1/12th build. I know UFAG late on in the War did Grey/Grey staggered blockwork (My words), but I believe they also did hexagonal upper surfaces and applied some colour with rags to soften the edges on some schemes. Any suggestions where I can get some accurate references? Any help would be really appreciated. I'm also struggling to get some accurate construction diagrams.

C.i

My Windsock Datafile has contemporary drawings, from magazines of the time, of the Brandenburg C.I.

Thanks Colin, I've got the C.I from Windsock. Is yours one of the yearly issues if so which one. Maybe I can track down a copy.

Fast but doubtful reference can be found here-
WINGS PALETTE - Hansa-Brandenburg B.I/C.I - Austria-Hungary
Be careful in using the profiles published there - I think anyone can post - but in many cases there are references listed beneath each profile.
Is this what you are looking for-
WINGS PALETTE - Hansa-Brandenburg B.I/C.I - Austria-Hungary
I suggest Kenneth Munson's 'Bombers' or 'Fighters' by Blandford - both books published in 1968 - in 'Appendix 1' you have something about K und K hand painted hexagons...

Cheers!

The book 'WARBIRDS-Military Aircraft Of The First World War'---by Macdonald and Janes----translated from Italian by Dale McAdoo has a full colour 2 page spread (five view) of a green/Brown camo. C1 and 10 side profiles-----though six of those are varnished wood/clear doped ones.

It is a very large book---of 'general interest only--nothing terribly new--but a nice one to thumb through---25 types covered---all with colour 5 views etc.

If you think it may be what you want send me your postal address and I'll photostat the C1 and send them to you...or if any one here has it and can scan the relevant pages.......

Dave.

Dear Bristol Scout,

Any good reference on HB C1? It seams to me that airplane was the same but it was the engines that changed with each serial...
Windsock - do they have some volume on it? If JaPo would do it it would be a true haven...

Cheers!

Hi, the book I mentioned with all the colour artwork (the main 5-view) is of a Phonix built series 429 and is serial no. 429.29 in green/brown camo.

Same offer to photo-stat applies if it is what you're after...

Dave.
