Here is a shot of my current project, built from Model Airplane News plans. 88" span, 69" length, all up weight about 22 lbs. I just finished the dummy engine but had to carve it up a bit to clear the spark plug for the G-38. Next time I'll cant the engine a few degrees to get the plumbing out of the way. Radio is Futaba Skysport 6 channel with 6 servos (two each on elevator and ailerons) and 1100 mAh battery.

The lozenge wasn't hard, just slow. I painted the fabric flat on a huge table with stencils and my trusty Badger single-action airbrush. Paints used were Americana brand acrylics mostly straight out of the bottle. The pea green was tweaked a bit to blend in a bit better. There is an excellent article in MAN by Guy Fawcett describing this method, I think it's the July 1997 issue.

I'm a very slow builder and this project got started in November 1998. It was put away for over a year and never touched, but I envision it will fly someday!
