I went to the King Orange Scalemasters Qualifier in Tampa and just wanted to say that It's great to see the increasing popularity of WWI R/C models (Balsa USA, Arizona, GTM). It's great to see a change in the aircraft that compete and a growing interest in that type of plane.
Thanks DJ, but it's my son I'm really proud of. He flew our 21-year old Sopwith Type 9901 ("Pup" to the uninitiated) to second place in his class. He was right behind Dino D., one of the best flyers in the business. It was great seeing Lyle there. We hope he has his DVII finished for the next one.
Please extend my congratulations!!! It is great to get new blood into the competition. Maybe a ProAm invite could be fanageled?? Get him building as well! Progress on the Ansalado??
