The damage in the above pic isn't too bad but it will keep this plane out of a couple WWI
flyins over the next few weeks. Oh well
I guess I'll just be flying my 1/4 scale Sopwith Triplane instead of the DVIII in my upcoming events.

Hey Paul do you have any information about the fullsized Pfalz D.VIII cockpit?

Paul,

Your finished Pfalz D.VIII looks great! Is that Glenn Torrance lozenge fabric on the wings?

Hope it wasn't sprained too badly. Best of luck with repairs and subsequent test flights. Please keep us posted.

Regards,

GK

Hi Paul,
It's great to see your Pfalz finally finished and taking to the air. Sorry that your 4-blade prop got busted but hopefully you have a method to lap the two props quickly....it's always easier the second or third time around, or so they tell me.

Good luck with the repairs--

Lyle

Thanks all for the kind words towards the D-VIII. Lyle, the great thing about this version
of the D-VIII is that the props are just stacked one on the other. This makes it much quicker to build the prop set. ( It looks rather odd but seems to work fine though)
Steven, I talked to a bunch of different folks while gathering info on this plane and the cockpit was the one area that I hit a wall on. It seems there just isn't alot of info out there that I could dig up.
I did use the GTM 5 color fabric and would recomend it to anyone who is building
a plane that requires lozenge fabric. I've been flying a GTM triplane for almost 8 years
now and still think it is the most fun to fly of any plane I've built. I dont think any of Glenn's products can be beat. I've been flying RC for 28 years now (something must be wrong with my calinder) and I still love it as much as my first solo flight with a slop
glider called a Wanderer

Regards
Paul
