"Bébé" NIEUPORT scale project

Without experience of this amazing website, I actually throw a bottle ...into the air (!) as I would like to build a "Nieuport 11" 1/4 scale model.

I've compiled "lot" of documents regarding this plane, but while digging into the matter I realized how my project was (and is still...) lacking of proper detailed / scaled structure drawing(s).

Who could help me ?

Georges, Two things if you haven't got them already. First, buy the 1/4 scale George Marsden Nieuport 11 plan. Second, Buy a copy of French Aircraft of the First World War by Flying Machines Press. You can buy this book from Squadron Signal and it's actually on sale. You can get the plan from Scale Plans and Photo Service. Hope this helps. Cheers!

In addition to their Journal they have a "Master Materials List" (cost is $12 US) which is a listing of drawings and manuals pertaining to aircraft and engines. Copies of the drawings listed can be bought from them. I recall that the journal published some drawings from Macchi for their license built Nieuports; I'm pretty sure that the N.11 was among them.

Also, are you familiar with the Proctor N.11 model kit? It is smaller than 1/4 scale, approximately 1/5 scale I believe. Many have been built and flown successfully since the 1960s.

To be clear and for the time being, my problem actually is to find an accurate and detailed / scaled 3 view plan of the real thing (roughly : the whole structural stuff), if it exists !
I already planned to order a G. Marsden's drawing set (re. previous J. Fitz advice) in the hope that I'll will find exactly what I'm looking for : a master reference for building.

Have you looked at a set of plans from Proctor? They have a a good reputation. As a matter of fact, a friend of mine is in the process of designing/building a 1/3 scale Bebe from enlarged Proctor plans. This may actaully develop into short or framed-up kits being available.

I was toying around with the idea of a 1/4 scale Nieuport 11 or 16 myself. I bought the Proctor plans and they are very good, plus permission was given to blow them up to the size I wanted. In their "recommended reading" page in the manual I don't see anything that hasn't been mentioned in other replies. The only thing I might add is that Mike Fletcher sells ( or used to sell ) a CR-rom that has some more info than what is on the website previously mentioned. I have one and it has some pretty good info.

Balsa USA just released a 1/4 scale kit. Depending on how accurate you want be, this would be a good start.
