Rhinebeck Jamboree

Thought I'd open a thread on this coming weekend's R/C event over at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. A place to post pictures of the event (please!!), share information, etc.

Also, for those of you lucky enough to be going this next weekend (alas, I won't be - saving my gas money for Dayton at the end of the month), I need a favor. Somebody please look up Bob Spears, and buy him a brew of his choice for me. You'll know him by the very neat looking brand new Flair Fokker Dr.1 Triplane he has painted up as Cole's original rotary powered plane:

I was in New Hampshire a couple of weeks ago on vacation, and met Bob at the Warbirds over New England flyin - the missus and I were on our way to the airport to return to the midwest. We arranged for our godchildren and their folks to meet us there for a couple of hours as well, as they'd never seen R/C planes in action. Bob was most gracious in offering (insisting, actually) that I borrow the club trainer to give Crista and Casey a quick lesson on the buddy box. They couldn't believe it - and really enjoyed the day (as did we all).

(That's Bob in the White Hat coaching the kids - the good guys always wear White Hats - I'm the one in the Black Hat!)

Sooooo . . . somebody please buy this fine gentleman a brew on me - you know I'm good for it if you can make it to Dayton!

Anyhoo, good luck to all attending Rhinebeck this next weekend, and let's see some pictures!!!

'til later,

Lee McDuffee
