Lack of Traffic

Is it just me, or is there a lack of traffic here lately? Does this happen every spring, when it's time to be outside flying again? Or, is this a genuine lack of interest in posting to this website?

Hi Mode One,
I've noticed this too, and tried to generate interest by posting pics of models and other ways of trying to generate conversation--it works for a while and then the replies just peter out. I think a lot of guys spend their time at R/C Universe or similar areas and basically post here only for the full-scale or prototype stuff. Am I wrong to make this assumption? I've only been a member here since 2001.

I dunno, I've only been a member since last November. Although I have visited the Aerodrome off and on for quite a while.

I wonder if changing it to "Flying Models" had an effect. I should think this would be better, however!

F/F WWI Aeroplanes

Here is Mike Midkiff web site, http://www.ozarkmodelaviation.com/ He has some real fine WWI types in addition to his WWII planes. I've built and flown the Sopwith 1 1/2 Strutter and the Triplane. both fly very well indeed. All of Mike's planes can be converted to R/C as well. In fact the Pup and P-26 Pea Shooter are listed as F/F - RC electric.

He has just added a SE5A, Junker DI and a Albatross DIII toa list that includes: Avro 504K; HP400 and Macchi M-5.

lack of traffic

Hi guys, Can't speak for others but I know my building has slowed down due to a number of things but mostly because I'v been trying to get the house ready to be sold. This time of year means lots of yard work as well. I don't think there is any specific reason for "lack of traffic". Just people doing a lot of other things. Winter is definetly more of a building time for me. I do think I'll have the Loening done by end of May however and I'll be posting some more pics soon. Cheers!

Stoney, what are you responding to here? This thread was asking about the lack of traffic on the Aerodrome Forum, not asking where Mike Midkiff's website is!

Stoney sorry You're quite right! That should have been a new topic, don't know what I was thinking (not much I guess), again sorry.

I will start building again when I finish breaking the ones that I built this winter. Should take a couple of weeks

Prop, How do you get our planes to last that long?

We're back into the flying season up here in Northern MN! First flighted my "The HOTS" last Tuesday. It flys as great as I remember!
