One more.

The wing went together really fast. The only reminder I can give is to be sure to shim up the bottom spars when doing the initial wing assembly. I shortened the balsa Trailing Edge and then added 2mm reed dowel to form the actual TE, which you might have figured out by now is something I like to do.

Coming along great J! Does the reed add strength, better aesthetics, or both?

I think a little of both. With the reed I can sand down the TE to a thinner, more realistic thickness, and the reed is much more resistant to dents than balsa.

PS:ProfLooney, I have no idea what you meant in your last post. Please clarify.

The bottom wing is now attachable! I just have to install some blind nuts for the front cowling and I can finish sheeting the fuselage. What do think about the wheels?the Dubro(white, in the post above) or the modified Mick Reeves wheels(black, which I borrowed from my DRI).

Just to be clear,I am not looking for a vote on the color of the wheels, just the shape of them. The Dubro wheels are 7" but have a thicker tire and profile. The Reeves wheels are 7 1/8" dia. but have a thinner profile, both in the tire and the wheel. Either way they will end up painted yellow&black on the outside and red with tan sworls on the inside.

Thanks Guys!

J
