Thanks everyone, it sure has been fun the last couple of days. From very highs to very lows.

Dave- Thats a good idea, I purchased a 24-12 thinking that might work well also. The plane really does slow down well but on that video I took a diving run at the runway as there was a very strong crosswind over that bean field, my bad, I should have just trusted the plane to handle it.

David:

Looks great! Congrats on a successful build. Looking forward to photos after paint. Can I get plans from you at some point? Looks like a fun build.

Lovely aeroplane the Sopwith Triplane and your model is looking great David.
Get some paint on it! (or will that have to wait 'till you return?)

Bit of inspiration for you: G-BOCK (N6290) ~ Sopwith Triplane ~ Malcolm Lee (1208) :: G-BOCKa.jpg

Thanks everyone for the kind words, I am really just glad that it is FINISHED! Boy did that take a while for the poor quality (scale) that I actually did. Just think of the yeeeaaarrs that it will take when I actually do try to do a "nice" scale airplane. Sheesh!

The wings are all painted, including the insignia, and are ready for flight again. I need to start on the fuse as soon as I have a spare moment.

Thumbs up

I'm eager to see this one in person. hopefully, you'll be bringing it to HDP. I designed and built a Sopwith Triplane in 1/4 scale years ago but it crashed due to an aft CG, so I modified it into a Pup instead...which is still flying!
