Didn't get as much done as I would have liked. Sort of took a side trip and assembled 4 little WW I screw together birds I got last November.
On the Fokker I got the edge tapes on the lower longerons and rudder. I also completed construction of the Williams Bros machine guns. I still have to paint and weather them and build ammo chutes. Here is a photo of them sitting on the cowl. I also need to get the aluminum cowl cover cut and shaped.

Added the fairings to the wing and landing gear struts. Here is are the rough results.
I'll fill in around the wires with micro ballons and epoxy, then sand to a rough airfoil shape and paint.
The subwing will be skinned with 1/64" ply.

That's going to take some careful sanding around the fabric.Be careful!!Looking really good though!!
Some decade I will have to refurbish and put fabric on my EV,but dealing with the struts is going to be a bear.

Right. The instructions say not to glue them in, but I intend to glue in the tripods after everything is set and readyto go. I just don't feel comfortable with them loose.

Unfortunately, this project has stalled again to some extent. I did get the landing gear legs sanded, filled and one coat of primer on them over the weekend. At this stage there is quite a bit of sanding to do and that is not one of my favorite tasks. It has been pretty warm and really humid around here lately, and taking parts outside to sand guarantees plenty of sweat
Hopefully I can get it moving again this week.

Tropical storm Fay is passing through here tonight and tomorrow and is suppose to bring rain and wind most of the weekend. So no outside play. SO I have no excuses not to work on models. Unless the power goes out
We will finish the last tidbits on my wife's Tiger Moth tonight. JUst need to finish painting the pilots and landing gear and finish mounting the receiver and battery, etc. Then that project is off the list.
I'll post progress on the D VIII tomorrow evening.
