Thanks for posting the photos!

Do you have any more of the Spad? It looks fantastic in the photo you posted.

I've always been fascinated by scale models that fly. The first photo you posted -- the Fokker D-VII -- looked completely realistic.

Regards,

Lufbery,
Thanks! But sorry, I don't have any more of the Spad, and I actually just realized that the shot I posted was not the BUSA 1/4 scale Spad, but a little electric one being flown by Dave Johnson (his design too). It was the first production one of a new ARF being released by Great Planes/Electrifly (I think) later this year.

However, since you did ask, below are a couple of the BUSA 1/4 scale Spad from last year, just for you.

Howdy Mike,
Great pictures as usual. It's always interesting to see what shots you come up with.
Miss Mary and I had a great time even if it was just for one day.

Really Dawn Patrol!!!

I'm still sorting through my pictures and such from the HDP, and hopefully will have a few more to share with everyone,

but in the meantime, I see that Sir Percy has added a little video clip of the first official flight of the 2008 Hoosier Dawn Patrol - these folks take their Dawn Patrol serious!!!

'til later,

Great shots as usual, Mike...

Here are the stats

44 regsitered pilots from 6 states
18 1/3 scale models

On Saturday I counted 81 airplanes with quite a few more in trailers or cars and not in the pits
Most popular model was the SE5A with 14 in attendance of all sizes
