Hansa-Brandenburg W.29 1/10th Scale

I am currently drawing plans for a Hansa-Brandenburg W.29 Model after I'm done these plans will be made free and available to anyone....

But first I need some info on this aircraft

1st)I was wondering if there is a picture of a Hansa-Brandenburg W.29 wing rib

The reason I wanted this was to know if the wing ribs were solid wood or if they had cut-outs

2nd)Picture of metal Fittings from floats to struts etc

and 3rd)A picture of the Observers Cockpit

None of these are necessary but it will add some nice scale touches

And the only documents i have on this aircraft are from the Windsock Datafile #55

P.S.Any other information can't hurt

-Christian

Hi Christian,

Design all three variations, which would only require two.

Best Wishes, Jay

Delays and possible end

I haven't gotten a strong start on this subject becuase I have been doing some 1/72nd scale models and I want to finish those first ,plus I am going to biuld a 1/10th scale static Roland D.VIb completely historically accurate

I have drawn a few ribs(9,11 attached) and some other pieces but nothing significant

I think I will restart the ribs does anyone know the correct Airfoil for the W.29?

and on the other hand I could start on a different Aircraft

-The FF.33

-F-105C(probably not a popular choice here)

-and I have some other choices but I don't want to bore you

That is the airfoil that I designed those two ribs off of

would you happen to know of any pictures of any Hansa-Brandenburg W-series with uncovered aircraft wings ?

And after the HB-W.29 my next set of plans is going to be for a Airco DH.10 and then the F-105C

I got Corel Draw!

I have installed CorelDRAW X4 on my computer today so I spent some of the night working on the wing.

for the rest of this project and all of my future project I will be using corel instead of drawing by hand it is increasingly quicker,it uses a lot less paper and Physical Space(I mean drawing table space),I can scale it to any size with a click of a button and I can export my finished drawing directly into PDF so everyone can have them at the same scale and quality!

so here is what I have accomplished tonight(I should get quicker this is only my first time using it for this purpose!)

With the top view

and the wing by it's self so far

-Chris

P.S. I have too add the rigging and the ailerons along with some other detial and then I can move onto the tail, rudder or wing ribs!

P.P.S.my eyes are a little sore

I'm not going to add the dimensions until I figure out how to make a SIMPLE jig for the wing ,with its sort of Polyhedral shape

Anyone have any Ideas?
