Today at PDARCS

Today PDARCS held it's scale and ARF club comp.
There were not as many WWI subjects as I had hoped to see, but what there was, was well worth seeing...

David Anderson of Croydon Aeromodellers (My own club) had this spectacular 1/4 scale scratch built Sopwith Pup powered by a 5 cylinder OS Radial.

Eric (I didn't get his last name) also form Croydon, has apparently been campaining this Alby for more years than the Great War covered. It is powered by an OS 120.

Hope you like. If you wan't to see more photos of either plane, I have about 300...

Cheers,

Hugh

MerlinV,

What are the chances you could put me intouch with the Albatros DIII's owner? I have been looking for plans for a 1/4th scale Albatros DIII!

Thanks!

Hi Mode One.

I will make some enquiries. There are members of my club who know him well.

Cheers,

Hugh

I did suggest to Eric (jokingly) that the Albie looked set up just nicely to take a few bullet holes in the tail from the Pup. His response was not encouraging.

Cheers,

Hugh

The Alby was built from a plan available from Model Aviation Press.

Cheers,
