Thumbs up The Del Johnson Memorial Meet

I know this is short notice for some of you that don't know, Sunday May 6th at the Greater Cincinnati Radio Control Club field.

Join Us to Remember Del Johnson
Sunday May 6, 2012 - 7:00 AM

We will remember Del with the flight of the Fokkers.
After lunch we will fill the skies with Fokker aircraft.
Remember to bring "in progress" items for show and tell,
because talking is what we do best.
Bring your refreshments and a chair,
GCRCC has graciously provided pizzas.

Details at: GCRCC

For all of you that know Del he was a great influence and good friend to me hope you can join us there, And yes if you have any Fokker planes (like Dr.I's) please bring them. He had a great thread here on the building of the GTM Dr.I prototype that Glen developed that is now the Panicle Dr.I R/C kit.

Hope to see you there.

Lloyd...

Here are two threads that Del had on his GTM builds.

1/4 gtm ev/dviii

GTM 1/3 Scale Dr.1

Here is Del at the 2008 Toledo show that won 3rd place in Military Sports Scale class.

Wish I could have been there! "Fokker Scourge" looks like a ton of fun! Thanks for sharing the photos!
