Crashing Full Canvas Jacket

Using Windows ME, appears to be plenty of memory. When I go into missions the game crashes, occasionally the whole computer freezes up, drastic changes to the desktop, the taskbar floats and the icons shrink. When I use the FCJ change program (SIC) no changes are saved. Any helpful suggestions?

Which type of video card does your pc have? I have an NVIDIA card and when I downloaded the most up-to-date drivers, I kept getting crashes and the game would not run. Backed off to an earlier driver release (4.5.2.3) and it seems to work just fine.

Also check Red Baron for Windows Compatibility Mode. Some PC's like to have it set to Windows 95 or Windows 98........my pc didn't like having it set to either....I had to set mine to 'off'.

Of course I may not have the same kind of video card you have and I am also running Windows XP but there was another person using Windows ME who posted a problem like yours on Delphi and we got him fixed.

Give these suggestions a try and if it doesn't help, come on over to Delpi Forums Promised Land forum and post your problem there. Lots and lots of very helpful and friendly folks on that site and including the developer of Full Canvas Jacket (Kess).....I'm sure you can get the game running with their help! They helped me a lot with my game when I first got it and had troubles!!

Thanks very much Shredward and Scott. I'll post the question at the two forums you recommended. Scott, yes it is the Nvidia. Not sure where the windows compatiblity you mention is on RB3D, to choose operating systems. I have a very early version of RB3D. All the best.
