Here's my favorite site

The best aviation sim website I've ever found is:

http://www.simviation.com

Look in the CFS section and take your pick. You've got a great variety to choose from. You also might find some planes for later MS sims are backward compatable with CFS1.

Salute,
Steve

It's not that hard, after downloading and unzipping the planes you want it's more or less just putting the files in the proper folders within the games.

Here is a link to the "How to install planes" page.

Good Luck!

Steve

Those instructions are pretty complicated and I still haven't figured it out, and it is not easy the way you see it because I have over 50,000 folders and the computer will NOT let me make my own folder!

Not being able to make a folder is your first problem.

Can you download? If so, just download to whatever that folder is, unzip and copy the inner folder with the four subfolders to the aircraft folder within your game. That should be it.

Steve

I can download but when I do, it says I can't make a new folder when I make a new folder.

What operating system are you running?

I'm by means a computer expert but it seems like maybe you have to delete some folders? If you install a lot of programs and then delete them, usually Windows uninstallers will leave the parent folder behind that contains saved games and configuration files. These can add up considerably and waste a lot of space.

Does the file even download and if so can you unzip it?

Try downloading a plane an see if you can unzip it. If so then open the unzipped file folder, copy the inside folder that has the four subfolders in it and then paste it into the aircraft folder within CFS1. This way, you don't have to make any folders. Just copy (or cut) and paste.

It's worth a shot!

Salute,
Steve

I did those directions all correct and a Window said it was illegal to do this process. I don't care anymore! I can't get these aircraft on because people don't know how to create aircraft packs instead of individual aircraft! I will never get these aircraft on here because they got the dumb people doin' FS2004!

Obviously it's a system problem. Head on over to www.maximumpc.com
and post your woes in the help section of the forum. I'm sure one of the experts over there can get you up and flying in no time. They are pretty good at troubleshooting.

All the best!!

Salute,
Steve
