A couple of weeks ago I met the director of the Italian Air Force Museum, on the wonderful shores of the Bracciano lake. Just north of Rome, just south of the village where Pier Giorgio and me have two little flats full of games, books and magazines - the village where WoW has been invented in a night of a few years ago. The 9th of October the director will kindly give us room for the official presentation of BD. The program will be something like:
10AM guided visit to the Museum, with comments on the airplanes displayed and a few notes on those in the game (SPAD, Hanriot - and Cr42, Spitfire, Mustang for the WWII boxes that will come).

11.30 in the conference hall, presentation of the WoW range and of the new set BD.
12.30 lunch at the Military Airport canteen, 5/8 euros each depending if we will choose the standard military lunch orsome luxury like wine and dessert.
14 reading/gaming session with the authors of the gamebook "Il Gobbo Maledetto" (by Gregory Alegi and me) about an Italian torpedo-bomber looking for the British fleet between Pantelleria and Malta.
http://www.novecentolibri.it/shop/cu...=16160&cat=257 The crowd will vote for choices and we will throw a giant size die when it will be the case. All this will happen side by side to a real Savoia Marchetti S.79 "Gobbo Maledetto" of the 278a Squadriglia, the same that we chosed for our game.
http://www.aeronautica.difesa.it/vc....s/fn5631-2.jpg (quite a great beast - as long as the Tornado displayed next to him but with quite a larger wingspan and with the single, precious 1250 kg torpedo that you have to take care of in the game.
14.45 on tables in the center of the central hangar of the museum, among Macchis and Fiats and Spitfires and Thunderbolts and Mustangs and Dakotas and some very huge 3 engine Italian planes (the WWI hangar has no room enough), we will play at Wings of War trying to put together more than 22 players at the same table, to win the previous record. At the tables around, other airplane games as Flight Leader and Crimson Skies will be played.
I know Italy is quite far from most of you, but the Museum is nice and the lake too. A cousin of mine has a great wine bar/trattoria at the nearby village of Bracciano (it is called "Vino e camino", or "Wine and Fireplace") that Kenneth Brannagh choosed as the official canteen of his troupe when he shoot his Othello in the local castle. Rome is not so far... All in all, a worthy vacation if you can do it. WoW is just a little cherry on the cake, or anyway on the same dish of it.
The organization is by Reindeer Corporation - 3M, a Roman/Italian gaming club.

The advice is to reserve at +39/3496523487 or info(at)reincorp.it so you have a place at the tables (both the canteen's and the gaming ones).
Bye to everybody!
