Hurray!!!!

That's great news!

I'll have to contact my local game-shop and order one this evening.
Can't wait to see the artwork on the Drachen and I'm very curious about how a game turns out when you use the altitude rules

Hi Blue Devil,

I've posted an MS Word document with details of WOW using altitude rules and 144 scale on the WOW Yahoo group. I think it's also on Boardgame geek but it is down aty the moment. I'll post details later when I can.

Altitude rules work well IMO with WOW. The game we played took considerably longer (about 3 hours as opposed to 1). Given that this was our first game and also using models this would allow for some of the time but under normal circumstances I expect the game to take twice as long. However, the whole experience is much improved.

Cheers . . . . .

Richard

To BlueDevil:
Thanks for the enthusiastic reply!
Some artwork can be previewed at the BoardGameGeek link above...
The Belgian addition to the game, with BD, is Thieffry's Ni23. But there is also a Roumenian Ni17 that if you just paint black the center of the roundels with a little felt pen...

To RichardWillis:
Thanks a lot! You did a great job with those minis. Thanks also for your opinion about altitude rules - I do not like so much to use them for dogfights (that's my totally personal taste - I played quite a lot of Blue Max and Ace of Aces without altitude and had fun with it anyway) while I think they really add something when balloons, AA guns and trench strafing are involved. That's why we included them in this new set.

Happy flights!

A.

@ Richard Willis:

Great! I'll look into it and try therm this week-end !

@ Angiolillo :

Got the black felt-tipped pen at the ready right now !
Great that you've put an other Belgian in it!
If you keep it up can get a whole Belgian escadrille together !!

Now Belgium needs a two-seater: the first booster pack will include the Re.8 now on display at the Bruxelles museum. Plus a Roumenian Breguet XIV that if you use a little black felt pen...

That little black felt pen is going to be a very important instrument for Belgian WoW players ....
