Single player missions/campaign freeware for CFS2?

Dear fellow WW1 aviation enthusiasts:

I have been flying CFS2 for a while now and have flown endless WW2 planes and even ventured into jets lately!! (lol). I then discovered all of the incredible WW1 planes and have installed them into their own theatre. Alas, I am not able to find any single player campaigns or even missions to fly them in. I don't think I'm good enough for multiplayer (yet) and would very much appreciate it if someone could direct me to some single-player stuff.........

Many thanx to all in advance---Baronvonbrock

There used to be a commercial add-on by (I think) Alpha Sims called (I think), "Combat Aces." By all accounts, it wasn't very good.

Your best bet may be to create your own missions and campaign in CFS2.

I personally just fly my WWI planes in CFS2 in quick combat mode. That's about all I have time for these days. I work full-time, have a wife and a baby, and I'm in grad school.

On the plus side, my 3.5 month-old son loves to sit on my lap while I blow Fokkers out of the sky with my Spad!

Regards,

where's the best place to get WWI aircraft add-ons for CFS2? I've tried visiting simviation.com and it's been fairly frustrating! I can find lots of stuff for CFS1 but not much for CFS2. maybe it's because I'm not a paying user, but just get the free access, lol!

Do you have CFS3? If so you can try OFF.

Let's see.......

Lufbery - I am also stuck with only the QC mode for now with my Bi-plane babies until I LEARN how to design a mission! Still get to enjoy the feel and action, however....

totoromann-The planes are out there-Every time I go to a new site I always check their links and favorites, and so on, and so on!

Here's a good one to start-the folks at the AERodrome squad:

http://www.aer.ip3.co.uk

Stuart Green also has some nice ones:

Last but certainly not least Polovski - Thanx for the excellent link to your site. I have heard a lot about Red Baron 3D...Is it still available? I also have CFS3, but it will not run properly on my somewhat older (hee-hee) machine. Can't wait to get new one so I can start flying Over Flanders Fields!!

I'll keep my eyes peeled for more info...

Hi baronvonbrock, Red Baron 3D is tough to find these days to buy. I'd do a few net searches/ebay etc, or ask over at www.swwisa.net forums.
Some great mods for RB.
