dawn patrol pc game

hi everyone my name,s joe i,m from scotland and have loved the ww1 theatre of aviation since i was 4 years old i,m now 29 theres just something amazing about it maybe the pilots were that brave about the concept of facing thier own death, anyway i got a second hand game of virgins dawn patrol head to head and unfortunatly it doesn,t work so the question i,ve got is,does anyone know where i can get a version that works i am willing to pay up to fifty engish pounds to aquire it!can anyone help? cheers joe.

Hi Joe.

I don't believe either the publisher or developer of this game updated it to run on WinXP systems. I assume you are using WinXP?

If you could find a machine that has Win95 it will run on that.

Hello. Dawn Patrol is one of those games that doesn't fit neatly into the wholly DOS (and thus DosBoxable) games, and yet it doesn't work on modern Windows computers, either.

However, there are many other WWI flight games available--IncaGold just put out Sky Aces, which I should be getting my hands on in a week or so. City-Interactive should have Wings of Honour: Battles of the Red Baron out in a few months. If you need something right now, I would suggest picking up Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator 3 and getting the Over Flanders Fields mod for it. Wings of War is also a good pick, although you may have to look around for it a bit.
