Triplane Battle reports

HI,
I will be posting links to battle reports of our weekly Triplane games at Hastur Hobbies in Salt Lake City, Utah. If you are in town on a Thursday night and want to drop in please do.
These reports are put together by Chuck Hards and are posted by Doug Larsen.

This is the June 22nd game.

The flight sim is the WW1 version of Rocky Russo's "Mustangs and Messerchmitts" and has been around since about 1973. The system is based on the areodynamics of the real aircraft and has time scale of 5 sec per turn. Since the symulation is about fighter aircraft the targets are all represented by paper flats.
Please take a look, I will try to answer questions if anyone has any.

Romani,
What would you like to know? The whole stand or just the air craft clip?

Rocky has given me permission to post the stand construction diagram from the rule book. I will scan it over the week end and post it on Monday.

I must apologise, my scaner is not talking to my computer for reasons unknown. I will post the scan when I have figured out what the problem is.

Dear Mr. Vernon,

I'm really impressed by the flying appareance of your models...
Also, playing over the floor (without any tables) gives a real dog-fight look to your battles... (i.e. It looks like the planes are flying and shooting at real scale / range)

What set of rules are you using to play? Romani and me uses "Canvas Eagles" with 1/72 kits, but over Battlemasters hex. grid and with the models mounted in telescopic magnetic tools. It works but the scale is not the best representation of a WWI combat.

Keep on upgrading your battle reports, please (and forgive me for my poor english)

Thank you very much!

Best regards from the sunny Spain,

Rinahe

I'm sorry,

Looking for more and more pics of your fantastic models I miss that you mention the use of "Mustangs and Messerschmitts" Rules....

Thank you very much anyway
