GT's Camel makes a real impact (weekly update)

Hi Guys,

This week's update from the Gennadich Team shows some very cool WIP views of potential crash/damage effects being explored for Knights of the Sky....aka....."how to break a Camel's back!"

Two more preview screenshots here:

Really sensational. If this is the "in-game" damaging model, then i need a new computer. Even the prop. is shortened and damaged

I am sooo looking forward to this sim. The camel crash looks excellent. But it's the preview of the Siemens-Schuckert D.III (by Daniel Santos) that looks exciting. It's very rare to see this aircraft included in any sim. Only in WFP has this appeared.

By the way, is there a date for release of this sim yet? Or is it still far away to stipulate?

Hi Cobby,

A Fall 2007 release of Knights of the Sky in Russia is part of the official publication schedule (publisher being 1C).

As far as we know, GT is still shopping for a publisher in the West, with these current months having been announced as the time they would be doing this (with the project expected to be well enough along now to have something substantial to peddle to prospective partners).

Sometime ago it was mentioned that GT would also be creating a new website for Knights of the Sky, and that this would preview around this time too.

We're all standing by awaiting further information at the moment.

Hi guys.

Sorry for butting in but I thought you might like to know Cobby, that there's a free SSW D.III add-on available for First Eagles, and a few different colour scheme skins as well.

Hi to you too Dave. Hope you're having a nice Easter.

Do you know if the guys at GT got around to changing the prop on their Camel as you pointed out to them a few months back? Not that it's a major issue...The whole thing looks awesome!

All the best.

Bucky.

There's lots of planes available for First Eagles, mainly made from the Wings of War aircraft source files. The KoS ones will be a tad more detailed which is good

Hi Gene!

I'm not sure if GT ever got around to the Camel changes.

We'll have to keep out fingers crossed that things are coming along as expected!

Um, no.......ROTJ has had an SSW D3 in it almost from the beginning, and ROTJ predates WFP, FCJ & HASP.
