Flying Corps by Empire Interactive

Did someone play this in the past? It was a pretty descent game. I think i will install this again if i can find the CD. Back then its was a bit hard for my computer to cope with the graphic requirements.

I played Flying Corps Gold on my old Gateway with Win 95 and it ran pretty well. When I got a new PC with Win 98 a couple years later and installed FCG, it never seemed to work - I couldn't get the settings to take, it wouldn't accept my joystick (same one I had been using), and other compatibility problems. Every few months, I'd try again and quit in frustration. I've even been half tempted to try it now on XP, but I'm not optimistic. If anyone knows how to make it run on XP, I'm all ears . . .

Empire interactive support Windows XP

All I found. Never did get it to run on XP. I have two, one still in an un-opened box.

I got it back in summer 1997. Ten years ago, before I even had a 3D graphic card. My first sim was Dawn Patrol, also by Rowan. Then I got a colourfuly flyer about FC in my hands (still have that flyer !).

I loved it although I never made it through all the campaigns. In '98 I went over to Red Baron II.

FC like its later brother Mig Alley (also a excellent sim) WILL run under XP but there are a few things to be done. Have to search and will post my findings here, its all been so long.

You could try the Mig Alley forum on SimHQ. http://www.simhq.com/forum/ubbthread...oard=17&page=1
A guy named Ursus even made a few graphic mods some years ago.

On the other hand you could also try to get a CFS3 disk cheaply and add the OFF mod. That one is spectacular and gives a fine sim experience.
