If you are still back in the stone age like me using dialup, having a program like flashget is essential. Lets you store download so you can download a bit at a time. I just ran it for two days while I was gone at work.

Thanks again for the link !! Got myself all setup

Fun for me I am still running Win98 on a PIIIx800mhz with a Voodoo3 card, plus an old Microsoft Force Feed back Sidewinder2. Everything works great.

The configuration you describe is one one the best you could have when Redbaron 3D version was edited(1998)-especially the 3DFX glide voodoo card (i have a 3 dfx 5500 AGP voodoo)-You dont need more!
by the way ,one trick to save FPS (Alt F) is to disconnect the force of your
joystick (right click when you are in the game-and joystick)

cordialement

I'm currently downloading RB3D. This will probably sound like a syupid question, but here goes...

When I had RB2, it would not run without the cd-rom in the computer. With this new download, will that not be an issue?

Once I have RB3D installed, what's the next best thing to get to soup it up? If I understand correctly, the basic game is only the beginning of what's available to put my gaming experience "over the top". So.... please... what;s next?

Thanks folks

Thanks for the tip with the FF Froggy <S>

I think I saw somewhere on an earlier thread you can get around the CD requirement by clicking the top right icon (Iron Cross?) 6 times. Worked for me.
