There are a couple of people who have mentioned that game on this board. Try doing a search for Richthofens War in this category and see who has posted. Be sure to set the time frame for the search to something like 365 days.

Welcome to the Aerodrome!

Regards,

It's time to place RW on the shelf and forget about it. While very pretty (I retained its board), its game mechanics are very unrealistic. It was nice in its day but there are a few far superior WWI boardgames now.

I used to play it, but as wolfenbill I put it on top of the shelf and it is getting dust.

There are several more games that are quite better... expecially because they use contemporary movement. Or at least a decent initiative system (as Dawn Patrol). As I said in another thread, you can have a look at

Actually, the Avalon Hill magazine "The General" gave an expansion set with ryles for RW, with contemporary movement and special manoeuvres. Interesting, but I was already playing other games so I did not use it so much.

[If there are what are they? I have RW and I quite like it. I am a wargamer and we are looking for a better set of rules either figure or board game. Any suggestions?

Go to Angiolillo's list as posted above for the titles and at least a short comment. Many are out of print but not unavailable.
