Mark, what platform is KOE on?
I hope it is Gamecube or PS2.....I have a Mac and most all good flight sims are Windows based.
Looks fantastic.

Hey Barker
I don't know anything more than you do about this.
But, offhand, I would say it's time to buy a REAL computer *;D
sorry about that... just kidding

How can I leave that unchallenged?
A real computer or real software?
Right, what's the difference.
A Mac is a Sopwith Camel.
A Windows machine is a real two-seater...
anyhoo.
Thank you!

ahhh yes - platform wars
amazingly enough, people tend to get ...emotional over this issue.
I've used both Macs and PCs at one time or another.
And, as far as I can tell, once your in an application it doesn't seem to make much of a difference either way.
Windows CAN be annoying, but I must admit that I have grown used to it.
Biggest problem with macs is that they have traditionaly had big problems running CAD applications.
Something to do with the way they address memory.
of course, that could all be ancient history by now.
Personaly I wish they would just pick ONE opperating system and stick with it.
Either one, doesn't matter which

Golly, I agree.
Have been saying that since I got a Quadra 800 in '91 and ran Quark, Illo, PS & Word on System 7.1.
Most stable box I ever sat by.
Macs truly do handle memory a great deal more stupidly than Windows machines. Still, tho'
OS.10+ seeks redress. And does so. OS 10 is not your Daddy's OS 7. Not even close. In a year, it will be a damn fine OS. And seeks to establish what you and I both seek: One OS that pleases all, including the internet as well as any vertical app.
I think CAD progs never run well on Macs cos they're never re-written well, but that's an uninformed opinion. PS runs better on a Mac, so the gate swings both ways. Hard to believe that the platform has that much to do with the behavior of the app. I suspect equal effort is rarely expended to cross the platforms.

Check out the developer's site:
http://www.aspectsimulations.com
I had a brief discussion with developer. This will be a very exciting game for the historian WWI Buff.
Mark, check the aircraft and damage models in the development section. This looks like work you would approve of!

I tried to look through Aspect simulations' site, but the pages loaded very slowly or not at all. It reminds me of when I was running RB3D on that old 200mhz Pentium I a couple of years ago.

Looks neat. I hope they don't go overboard in their 3d models and animation and turn it into a beutiful sim that does not play. I saw one post already complaining that the rotary does not look like it is spinning. I remember the bumper sticker, "If you can read this you are too close" I don't think even with a closure rate of 200mph that it makes a lot of difference myself. Complex models make nice art but not sims.
