Having a Problem wth Red Baron 3D, Can anyone help

Ok im about 4 missions into it on a campaign and on the fourth mission, i completed it landed and selected "End Mission". Then the screen went black with a little white 'Egg Timer' in the middle, and it didnt change, it stayed like that. So i had to 'Alt, Ctrl, Del' to exit the game.

So I thought it was a one off crash so i did the mission again and it did it again! The same problem. So then i thought id try skipping the mission by selecting "End Mission" before I even take off, i did and it did it again - black screen with the egg timer.

Can anyone help? ive downloaded the official patch but that did no good. *??? :'( ???

In the 'Campaign' folder (wherever you installed RB) you will find a couple of useful files: campgnxx.mis and backupxx.mis (where 'xx' is the number of the campaign you are flying - if you only have one campaign running it'll be campgn00.mis).

Try deleting the file campgnxx.mis, then make a copy of the backupxx.mis and rename the copy to campgnxx.mis. Remember to make the xx number the same as the backupxx.mis one.

Backupxx.mis should be the mission you flew prior to the one causing problems. Refly it, and after you've finished you should get a new mission, not the one causing you problems.

Oh, I should add DON'T delete any files called campgnxx.dat - these are the actual campaign files, as opposed to the .mis ones which are individual missions.
