Hey, this is great! With add-ons making all or most PF, that's even better!

... does the list seem a little off balance between Allied and Axes aircraft that flew against each other? ..... a good start anyway.

Thanks FlyXwire.

A Fokker D.vIII would be nice, LOL.

I've always loved the Nieuport 28, thanks for clarifying this Dave.

Yeah a Sop Dolphin, not my type of aircraft but viewed from the front,it looks bad (in a good way).I seen the video with the Fokker in the sunset and when I saw that sunset I thought "Yeah baby".The way the cockpit darkened from the sunset was pure beauty (I find WW1 birds in a sunset sets the romance of WW1 aviation).I also love the way the castor fume puffs out of the rotary engine.I have another question,in one of the videos,I noticed in the begining the Fokker pilot moved his hand foward in a signal gesture, does that happen in the game or was it scripted for the video.I also wonder if the machine gun hammer moves back and forth when fired.Anyway MORE VIDEOS MORE!!!

The Dolphin with 2 Lewis guns and 2 Vickers ..... a lethal machine. Do not know what version is in the sim, odds are its sports the 2 Vickers. I think the four gun arrangement may have been a field mod.

I believe it was stated that the animated pilot is part of the sim and the guns cocking handles do work, its in one of the videos.

Without giving away any unrevealed details yet, let me just say that pilot animation will be of a high order (NEOQB hired a guy just for this type of work). This is one of the things that making a WWI sim from the ground up allowed, but of course it, and other new features like it have taken extra time to make.

When they are experienced, we'll wonder how we ever did without them!

Punish, as far as I know they've done the elevation terrain mesh from the N. Sea to the Swiss border, but so far we've only seen detailed areas from around Verdun to Metz and part of the Somme.

This is just speculation on my part then, but I'd expect the areas for the squadron missions/campaigns to have received the most attention concerning actual building landmarks and such.

We'll have to wait and see on what kind of ground work they've laid.

The reason I asked Dave is that I'm a mapper for Day of Defeat Source and I know how much work goes into making just small maps and optimization is detrimental to keeping FPS down, I was just curious. Thanks.
