New Wings of War translations and Series 3 previews

The basic box with miniature, "Wings of War - Deluxe", has been released both in Greek
Παιχνίδια με Μινιατούρες
and in Finnish/Swedish:

Series 3 of miniatures (Nieuport 17/23, Ufag C.I, Re.8 and Albatros D.III) can be previewed there:

Next releases for the year will be a playing mat with a WWI landscape (the same that is on the background of the cards); a kit with a Caquot balloon model and a Nieuport Ni.16 with LePrieur rockets; a box with multi-engine bombers (Gotha, Staaken, Handley Page 0/400, Caproni Ca.3). Besides, a new box for WWII with dive bombers as the Stuka and miniatures for WWII are also announced.

Thanks for your attention,

Andrea

And you maybe did not yet know two more things that you could maybe find interesting:
- I am looking forward to put the Lohner/Macchi L. seaplane in the heavy bomber box (closest thing to Porco Rosso's Savoia S.21 that I can imagine);
- I am trying to put a Portuguese pilot on a Spad VII in the same box. For the moment the candidate is Alberto Portela from SPA 124, with a Portuguese emblem on the back of the fuselage (plus more Portuguese colors on other parts of the plane, but this is what can be appreciated on the upper view that will be on the card). I am trying to find one of the planes where the blue and white of the French cockade had been replaced by green, but even if I read that I could find no picture or drawing.

Thanks a lot for your comment - and that your wallet may always be as swollen as a Caquot observation balloon!

Re series 3

Hi Andrea
When will series 3 be available and I am now using the planes mostly to play Canvas eagles, I have a hex mat coming from Hotzmatz with an ariel view with 3 inch hexes on one side and no hexes for WoW on the other, at our club we find mixing aspects of the 2 rules together gives the best game cheers Ron

Hi Angiolillo!

I am building up my collection of mini's but I am having a bit of trouble to find out just how many aircraft and which aircraft are available so far.
Can you tell me where I can fid a list of the aircraft available?
I am also looking forward to the playing mat you mentioned: it should give a nice touch to the whole game.

P.S I could use an HD1 for instance...several of them /p

Thanks for asking!

Here you have the list (middle of the page, and pictures lower on):
Wings of War - Miniatures | BoardGameGeek

Series 1 and 2 are released, Series 3 will come soon. Two Nieuport 16 and two Claquots M will follow soon. I hope to make a Hanrot HD.1 pretty soon too... In Series 4, maybe?

Series 4?

Angiolillo,
Any chance of a 'fans choice' contest for series 4? Would love to see the Pfalz DIII and Hannover ClIIIa produced in these models!

Me too...

Fan asked for a huge lot of things, so in the end I fear that we will have to make the final choice ourselves anyway...
