Well Willi, they've got something weird going on. I'm not sure if you've been to their blog or not, but check out their April 17th update "One World, One Price". Listen to this quote:
RoF Blog - «??????? ?? ???????! ??? ? ?»
In Russia and CIS countries Rise of Flight will be released in a limited edition of 15 000 jewel-packs and 2 000 unique collection editions.
After all copies of these editions will be sold out, Rise of Flight can be purchased in digital distribution on the world price (will inform later where and how).
I'm not entirely sure what this means, but I'm thinking that they're saying until all 17000 units of the game are sold in Russia and countries that used to be part of Russia (like Kazakhstan, Belarus, etc.), it's not coming out for the rest of us... although they might be saying that we will still be able to buy it, just at Russian price (not at national/international price like we normally can for most other games, so if it was like $89 over there, we'd have to pay $89 until all their first release copies were gone, and then we could download it. This is a strange marketing decision, and I'll admit that I'm not happy with it.
I'm going to get it through STEAM, since they're apparently releasing it there. Why they would do something like this, who knows. Perhaps they are money-groveling, but maybe it's more related to their laws. As long as I can play it eventually, I'm happy (granted I am a bit annoyed).
