Big Favor-RoF-wise needed..

Just got my copy of RoF yesterday, but it will not work.I get it to the opening SPAD sequence but am unable to open menu on the bottom of the screen...actually I can't see the menu because it is below the bottom of my screen. The screen is pushed to the far left of my 1440x900 pc screen as well.
I've read that this is a "settings" problem, but when I go to settings "Screen Reslotion " I have an empty box...no choices at all.I've tried an uninstall & reinstall but same problem.
I've tried with no luck to post my problem on the RoF site( even registed I've had npo luck posting a topic there...) & for some reason I am temporarily unable to post at SimHQ RoF site either.
Would someone be so kind as to post my problem at one or both of the sites & get a solution back to me? I'll keep trying , but I need a backup plan.
Many thanks!

Hi James,
You can manually edit your screen resolution by opening this file in Notepad:

C:\Program Files\Rise of Flight\data\startup.cfg

The settings to change are full_height and full_width (for fullscreen mode) and win_height and win_width (for windowed mode).

Are you possibly in windowed mode instead of fullscreen mode? I noticed after installing that for some reason it was set to windowed mode by default.

Wow... sorry to hear that

What I would do is turn all the graphics down to their lowest settings. If it still crashes to desktop I guess the only thing you can do is file a bug report in their forums

Good to hear!

If you figure out how to keep from ground looping during the landing rollout, please let me know! On my end, all rudder authority goes out the window shortly after touchdown, although at the same speeds on takeoff I have plenty of authority. Perhaps on takeoff it's aided by the prop slipstream. Or perhaps I just need more practice!

BTW, I've read new planes slated for sale 7 July, likely the D.Va and N.28.

Yeah the rudder-on-the-ground thing is a huge pain. As far as I know, they're aware of this, but I thought it would be fixed at this point.

Just figured out how to map the yaw controls to the keyboard (I don't have pedals). It gives me control, but it seems way too overly sensitive. I think it's impossible to get off the ground unless I have pedals or something...

If you enable autopilot, then press "A" when you want to takeoff, you can have the AI takeoff for you, then press "A" to disable it once you're in the air. Workaround until it's fixed
