Pig in a poke
I gave them my hard-earned cash, got the game, registered, but I'm still waiting for the promised email & link to...what? Hopefully an installer becasue there isn't one on the game disk.
So far I have NOTHING for my money.

I had a boat load of problems getting this game set up. Registration, installation, email confirmation, Murphy's law really wreaked havoc with me. But the Neoqb web site is the place to go for help. I always got a quick response when I needed it and they always had a solution.

With a name like Harry Tate (RE.8), you were always destined to stall and spin in...
The instalation setup should autorun as soon as you put the dvd in your drive. If it doesn't, go into 'my computer', left click on your dvd drive and then right click and select 'open' (or autorun if it gives you that option). Once it's installed, you can start the game up and let it patch to the latest version but you won't be able to play until Neoqb registers you with username and password.
I hope this helps

I did get a response to my question there, but the instructions posted in the reply were a dead-end and didn't work. I have to admit that I'm losing patience and am close to writing it off as a rip-off.

You dont need to wait any email confirmation (I didnt). Just use your neoqb forum username and password (after you have update your profile there with your game cd-key) when game ask authentication. Should work.

Update:
I got it to install by switching to an external disc drive. My default drive just didn't like this disc at all. But I got everything loaded.
Now, when I try to access Settings or Start a game, it shuts down and wants to send Microsoft a report.
So I'm looking over their site for a possible solution to that one.
Clearly, this product wasn't quite ready for market.

Do you happen to have Vista operating system? In Vista there is problem in installation of NET framework and Microsoft Redistributable package what game needs. (its Vista UAC thing, It wont allow them to install at all and you have to install them separately from CD or disable UAC and then install game again)

I'm running XP.
Others have posted the same problem on the ROF Website, but so far none of the solutions have worked. I've cleaned out my registry, defragged, uninstalled and reinstalled, and it still won't run.
Add to that the fact that the manual is poorly written, poorly laid-out, and not very substantial in the first place.
So far I've spent nearly 4 hours trying to get this game to function. I don't have unlimited free time to screw around with it. If I can't get it up and running without wasting too much more time on it, I'll sell it for the best offer.
My advice to potential buyers at this point is, unless you like spending time de-bugging, finding work-arounds, loading patches, etc., and generally just trying to make the best of a bad job, STAY AWAY from this game.
Wait until it's actually a marketable product, and avoid the testing phase, which category this release plainly falls into at present.

Hi, HT,
I understand your frustration, and others have had similar experiences as you mentioned. However, in fairness to those reading this who haven't purchased the sim yet, your unfortunate experience is not the default expectation. Plenty of people have had no problem at all installing the sim. Me, for instance; there isn't a bigger computer moron on the planet than I and my installation and account registration went smoother than oiled glass. Does you no good, I understand, but logic suggests installation success is based upon individual computers.
One thing, out of curiousity. Since you feel the sim is so terrible that your advice is to "STAY AWAY," why are you contemplating selling it? You may do whatever you like, of course, but since you feel Neoqb has foisted upon us a "buggy, bad job" sim in the "testing phase" from which potential customers should "STAY AWAY," wouldn't selling your copy put you on the same stratum as Neoqb?
